Pre-K Music Teacher

St. Charles School is seeking a part-time, Pre-K Music teacher. St. Charles is a growing, vibrant parish and school in the heart of Lake Country, Hartland, Wisconsin.  Our school mission is to prepare and challenge our students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives, by being innovative, responsive and compassionate leaders in the classroom and beyond. The candidate will be joining a growing school community as a music teacher for our youngest learners. St. Charles School, with a population of approximately 400 students, offers a wonderful teaching experience in an environment with high academic and behavioral expectations. Our school is one of the premier schools in the Waukesha County area.

Qualifications:

• The qualified candidate will be a faith-filled, practicing Catholic, able to fully participate in the sacramental life of the church.
• The qualified candidate is passionate about fostering students’ personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• The qualified candidate will have a passion for teaching music to K3-K5 students through the use of best classroom practices.
• The qualified candidate will have a deep understanding of the Archdiocesan Music Standards and be able to implement them into the curriculum.
• The qualified candidate will be able to teach pre-K grades in the fundamental principles of music.
• The qualified candidate will have some experience in teaching children in song and easily-accessible instruments – percussion, recorders, etc.
• The qualified candidate will be able to plan, organize and implement concerts/musical performances for our school community.
• The qualified candidate will have strong skills in collaboration and communication including the ability to exchange information on multiple levels (e.g. students, teachers, administrators and parents).
• The qualified candidate effectively implements instructional best practices and strategies in order to meet the learning styles and needs of all students.
• The qualified candidate will be comfortable using a wide variety of technology for instruction, communication, and collaboration.
• The qualified candidate possesses the highest degree of professionalism.
• The qualified candidate has successfully completed Safeguarding All God’s Family training (Archdiocese of Milwaukee) and background check.
