St. Mary of the Hill Parish is seeking a part-time Parish Secretary to join our vibrant parish community. This position serves as the welcoming face of our parish and plays an essential role in supporting families, faculty, and administration in the daily life of the parish.
Position Summary
The Parish Secretary provides welcoming front-office support, manages communication, and assists with the coordination of parish operations. The ideal candidate is organized, attention to details, warm and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist parishioners and visitors
- Answer phones and manage daily correspondence
- Create weekly parish bulletin
- Scheduling Liturgical Roles
- Manage the parish calendar
- Assist with ordering and maintaining machines and supplies
- Provide general administrative supportĀ
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain high accuracy despite frequent disruptions
- Proficiency with basic office technology and software such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, Canva, MSP (Ministry Scheduler Pro) and PDS (Parish Data System)
