Pius XI Catholic High School is seeking a part-time (.33 FTE) Choir teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Pius XI is the most diverse Catholic high school in the state of Wisconsin and is committed to providing every student with an education that prepares them for college, career, and a life of purpose.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with adolescents and be committed to helping students grow musically, creatively, and confidently. This individual will thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working as part of a dynamic and positive Fine Arts department. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for Catholic education and a willingness to integrate Catholic and Gospel values into the classroom experience. We are looking for a teacher who can incorporate all different types of musical choices into the courses and concerts to reflect our diverse student body. 

The qualified candidate should be able to teach high school choir courses and support the development of student musicianship, vocal technique, and performance skills. 

Responsibilities
 • Teach choir courses
 • Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and artistic growth
 • Prepare students for performances and concerts throughout the school year
 • Collaborate with Fine Arts colleagues on curriculum, performances, and student opportunities
 • Support the mission and values of Pius XI Catholic High School
 • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications
 • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required
 • Wisconsin DPI teaching license preferred (candidates without licensure may be considered if they demonstrate strong content knowledge and a willingness to pursue licensure)
 • Demonstrated proficiency in vocal music instruction and strong verbal and written communication skills
 • Experience working with teenage students of varying abilities preferred
