St. Agnes Catholic School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Part-Time (30 hrs/week) K5 & 1st Grade Teaching Assistant to join our school family! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, supports their academic and personal growth, and is committed to creating a positive, faith-filled learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction and learning activities in K5 and 1st grade.
• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic skills and concepts.
• Support students as they develop early literacy, math, and classroom readiness skills.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Encourage positive behavior, kindness, respect, and independence.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned times.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet students’ individual learning needs.
• Support the Catholic mission and values of St. Agnes Catholic School.

Qualifications

• At minimum, High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Demonstrates patience, flexibility, kindness, and strong communication skills.
• Works well as part of a collaborative team.
• Is dependable, organized, and able to take initiative.
• Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Supports the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Respects confidentiality regarding all records and personnel matters
• Professionalism in attire, communication and demeanor
