Due to recent growth, St. John Vianney Catholic Parish School in Brookfield is seeking an additional PE Teacher who is inspired to form young minds and hearts within a community rooted in our Catholic faith.

St. John Vianney Parish School is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to join our school community for the upcoming school year. This position will be customized for the right candidate and will offer 12-25 hours per week while providing an opportunity to inspire students through engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education experiences.

At SJV, we are committed to educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Our Physical Education program encourages students to develop healthy habits, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and an appreciation for the gifts God has given them.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach engaging Physical Education lessons for students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered learning environment.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, respect, and good sportsmanship.
  • Teach students appropriate movement skills, fitness concepts, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Supervise and maintain a safe environment during all activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and values of St. John Vianney Parish School.
  • Serve as a visible witness to the Catholic faith in word and example.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or athletic setting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire students and foster a love of physical activity.
  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of St. John Vianney Parish School.
