Position Summary

Corpus Christi Parish School is seeking a creative, organized, and energetic Special Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of the school's major fundraising and community events. This position will play an important role in strengthening relationships with families, alumni, parishioners, businesses, and friends of the school while generating revenue to support the mission of Corpus Christi Parish School.

The Special Events Manager will work closely with the Director of Development, Principal, Admissions & Marketing Director, staff, and volunteers to ensure events are successful, engaging, mission-driven, and financially rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the school's major fundraising and special events, including the annual gala, Catholic Schools Walk, golf outing, raffles, and other events.
  • Develop event timelines, budgets, goals, and strategies to maximize participation and revenue.
  • Recruit, organize, and support event volunteers and committees.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venues, vendors, catering, entertainment, registration, decorations, supplies, and event-day activities.
  • Develop and coordinate sponsorship opportunities and cultivate relationships with business partners and community supporters.
  • Solicit and coordinate auction items, raffle prizes, donations, and other event contributions.
  • Work with the Director of Development to ensure events align with the school's overall fundraising strategy and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions & Marketing Director on event promotion, communications, and marketing materials.
  • Work with the Business Manager to monitor event budgets, expenses, revenue, and financial reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate event records and provide post-event reports and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing events and develop new opportunities for fundraising and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in event planning, fundraising, nonprofit management, hospitality, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to recruit, motivate, and work effectively with volunteers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, flexible approach.
  • Proficiency with One Cause or similar event registration or management software.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
