Combined Collections is the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's twice-per-year involvement in the USCCB National Collections, which we refer to as “Combined Collections.” What had been separate monthly second collections in previous years have been combined into two mailings a year — one in spring and one in fall.
This year's collection includes:
- Catholic Relief Services: The Catholic Relief Services Collection supports Catholic Church organizations that carry out international relief efforts. This includes aid to victims of war, natural disaster relief and development projects for the poor.
- Catholic Home Missions: This appeal supports dioceses in the United States, and its territories, that are financially unable to offer the basic pastoral ministries of word, worship and service. Catholic Home Missions also provides grants to other organizations and religious communities engaged in missionary work.
- Collection for the Works of the Holy Father, Peter’s Pence: The Collection for the Works of the Holy Father: Peter’s Pence allows the faithful to contribute directly to the Holy See and the charities supported by the Pope.
- World Mission Sunday: World Mission Sunday serves as a perfect opportunity to support the efforts of Catholic missionaries worldwide. Funds raised go towards missionary efforts in over 1,100 dioceses across five continents.
- Church in Latin America: This collection helps to strengthen families, fund Catholic education and foster priestly and religious vocations throughout Central and South America and the islands of the Caribbean.
