WHAT: All are invited to join us for a community discussion on August 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in-person at Alverno College to discuss Magnifica Humanitas, the 2026 Papal Encyclical by Pope Leo XIV on Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence. Together we will discuss and ponder: what does it mean to be human, together, in a time of great technological change?

Read one paragraph, read the full encyclical document, or simply come ready to listen and share what is on your mind and heart. Through guided reflection, small group conversation, and a community discussion, we will consider how faith, human dignity and shared responsibility can shape the role technology plays in our lives and how it can influence our shared future.
