Abortion is a life-changing experience that affects many individuals emotionally, spiritually and physically. You may be suffering from the aftermath of your own or someone else’s abortion. Some women and men experience the need to find healing shortly after having an abortion while for others it may take years to realize.
Project Rachel is a post-abortion ministry founded by Vicki Thorn in 1984. It has helped women and men around the country heal from abortion trauma. Project Rachel is a team of specially trained priests, religious, counselors and lay persons who provide hope and healing for those suffering from the aftermath of abortion.
Project Rachel is a private and confidential experience. You may call the helpline at 414-389-8822, email [email protected], or fill out the information form below. When you get in touch with someone from Project Rachel, they will listen to you and provide you with resources. We offer services to meet your personal needs, including referrals for sacramental Reconciliation, pastoral counseling, support groups, retreats and referrals to licensed mental health professionals.
Those who have suffered from abortions experience a genuine, traumatic loss. And it is common to grieve the loss of a child by abortion, even though it is often kept in silence.
