The archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has given his approval and blessing to the Carmelite Hermits of the Trinity, who pray and sacrifice in a particular way for the archdiocese as well as for the whole Church and the entire world. The Father General of the Discalced Carmelite Order granted approval of our Carmelite title and spiritual affiliation with the Carmelite family.
The hermit lives a life hidden within the heart of the Mystical Body of Christ, his Church. While it is not appropriate for hermits to be engaged in the more visible works of the active apostolate, we serve the Church in a way which is no less apostolic in its fruitfulness. Moreover, because of the vital importance to souls of spiritual guidance and the widespread need for such counsel and encouragement, our daily work period is frequently spent in this charitable labor.

We are a contemplative/apostolic congregation consecrated to God through a life of prayer and reparation, from which flows our life of loving service in the care of the young and elderly. We pray, sacrifice and atone with an apostolic perspective. The apostolates to which we devote ourselves comprise the Christian upbringing of children and youth in homes for children, the care of the aging in retirement homes and nursing homes. We carry out these apostolates in our own homes so that community life may be maintained. Together we SEE, SERVE AND LOVE GOD IN ALL. (The cause for canonization of our foundress, Blessed Mary Teresa of St. Joseph, is in process in Rome.) We accept young women from the ages of age 18 to 35 with at least a high school education.

As cloistered nuns, we live the contemplative monastic life, under the Rule of St. Benedict with specifically Cistercian spirituality. Our order, founded in 1098, finds the heart of the Holy Rule in obedience, humility, silence, self-emptying, voluntary poverty, manual labor and above all that most excellent way: charity. We are dedicated to the daily Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Holy Eucharist and the Divine Office. Our Office is sung in Cistercian chant in Latin. Study enables us to read and pray this beautiful and ancient language with understanding. Through our personal prayer of Sacred Scripture, study and work in silence within the monastic enclosure, we cultivate a continual worship of God or union with God.

We are women urged by the charity of Christ to reach out to those most in need. For three centuries, we have followed in the footsteps of Vincent de Paul, Louise de Marillac, Elizabeth Ann Seton and thousands of Daughters of Charity who have brought and continue to bring hope to the poor.
We work in schools, hospitals, social agencies and parishes in the United States and in mission countries. We visit the elderly in their homes, advocate for women and children, walk with youth and respond to the needs of the poor wherever we can. We find strength through prayer and community life.

The Congregation of Felician Sisters is an international order of religious women. Today, over 2,300 Felicians minister to God's people in the United States, Canada, Poland, Brazil, England, Ukraine, Estonia, Italy and Kenya.
The Felician mission is most simply explained today as the call to cooperate with Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world. Impelled by the Gospel, the Spirit of St. Francis, and the legacy of Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, we are women of prayer, energized by Eucharist and inspired by Mary. We minister in education on all levels, health care, youth and pastoral ministries, social service among the poor, retreats and renewal programs, care of the elderly, work with migrants and diocesan work.
The Felicians live in community and live an active/contemplative life within the Church today.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, founded over one hundred years ago, are a Franciscan congregation of almost 400 members dedicated to the spiritual and material development of the human family, especially the minores, the people often forgotten in society. Located in 109 cities in 14 states and three countries off the mainland, we serve in diverse ministries, i.e., pastoral work, education, health care, diocesan institutions and community services.
We strive to live simply and joyfully, in supportive sisterhood, grounded in the Gospel values of Jesus, following the example of St. Francis and St. Clare. Some sisters live in the three congregational homes in the Midwest. Others live singly or in groups that support their ministries. All sisters belong to local community groups that join together for prayer and mutual support. The congregation has a strong associate relationship for men and women partnering in prayer and ministry.

As Augustinian women, we strive to "live together in harmony, as one heart and soul on our way to God." (Rule of St. Augustine) The heart plays a central role in Augustinian spirituality; we cannot live religious life on a superficial level but rather from the very depth of our heart.
Prayer takes an essential place in our life. All that we do flows from our prayer, which is a living dialogue with our God.
We follow the lead of our patroness, St. Rita of Cascia, by offering our services of caring for those in need. This includes education, health care, assisting the poor, pastoral ministry and counseling, hospice and responding to the needs of today's world.

St. Benedict's Abbey is a community of Benedictine monks located on the state boarders of Wisconsin and Illinois. Our abbey is located in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, but we serve both the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and Chicago. Founded in 1945 by Richard Felix, O.S.B., a monk of Conception, Missouri.
Our focus is our ministry of prayer, with the celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours and daily Mass. We gather six times per day to sing and offer praise to God. Another important and major focus of our life is the ministry of our retreat house. Our abbey has been the site for many individuals and groups to find a path closer to God.

The Capuchin Franciscan Friars, a religious community of brothers and priests, were founded in 1528. Following St. Francis of Assisi, the Capuchins strove to live more simply, serve the poor and preach the Word of God. Those characteristics have remained the chief features of Capuchins to this day as seen in their inner city ministries, meal programs for the poor, and retreat centers that nourish the People of God with food for body and soul.

The Franciscan Order was founded by St. Francis of Assisi in 1209. With over five thousand followers in his lifetime, he inspired his energetic and talented friars toward the broad task of helping to transform every level of society. After Francis' death in 1226, it became increasingly clear that the charism given to Francis and his community could not be contained within one singular expression of Gospel life. In 1517 the Order was divided into autonomous branches, each following a valid, yet different, observance of the Franciscan Rule.
Since the 13th century, the friars of the “conventual” tradition have ministered primarily in urban centers. It was in the heart of the European cities where they touched all levels of society with the Good News of Christ Incarnate. Many of the large churches and ministry centers constructed in the earliest years of the Franciscan movement are still administered by the Conventual friars to this day.
Today, the Conventual Franciscans also minister in five provinces in North America. The St. Bonaventure Province is located in the Midwest with its headquarters in Chicago. Our priests and brothers are involved in parishes, education, evangelization, health care, chaplaincy and missionary work. Devotion to the Blessed Mother and Eucharistic Adoration are the foundations of our life of prayer, fraternity and charity.

The Discalced Carmelites are a religious order whose heritage reaches back to a community of hermits living on Mount Carmel in Palestine during the late 12th century. In 16th century Spain, St. Teresa of Jesus — with the assistance of St. John of the Cross — initiated the "Discalced Reform" within the Carmelite Order, which came to be recognized as a new, separate order.
The friars seek to live a life of faithful prayer, seeking union with God through a "life of allegiance to Jesus Christ." Our Constitutions mandate two hours of silent prayer every day. Our current provincial ministries include retreat work, spiritual direction, publication, shrine ministry (at Holy Hill), and mission work in Kenya. As brothers in community, we live as a family at the service of the Church — to bear a message of hope, to be a quiet but constant sign of God's presence in the world. In the company of Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we ponder the words of her Son and the mystery of his love.

In 1846, two children in the French Alps encountered a "Beautiful Lady" arrayed in light. Weeping, the lady spoke words of deep and loving concern for all her wayward, sinful children. She described the need for conversion — reconciliation with God — and implored the children to "Make this known to all my people."
Mary's apparition at La Salette, France, inspired the formation of the La Salette Missionaries — a religious community of priests and brothers dedicated to the ministry of reconciliation. Sharing a common life of prayer, fraternity and hospitality, La Salette Missionaries minister in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
