Frequently asked questions regarding deaf and hard of hearing ministry.

Are there religious education programs that specifically serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population?

Yes. St. Andrew Parish, in Delavan, teaches kindergarteners through seniors in high school. St. Matthias Parish, in Milwaukee, teaches child and adult religious education. An interpreter can also be scheduled for any religious education program.

When is a sign language interpreter provided in church?

An interpreter is provided upon request.

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ministry Office can work with individual parishes to establish services to meet the communication needs of the members.
