Women in Mission Event: Celebrating the Missionary Call of Women

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we have to postpone this Saturday’s Women in Mission event until a later date.   Currently we are looking at dates in June and beyond, and we will notify you as soon as a replacement date has been chosen. In Celebration of March as Women's History Month, the Office for World Mission, in collaboration with the Salzmann Library and supported in part by the Missionary Association of Catholic Women invites you to join us for

Women in Mission: Celebrating the Missionary Call of Women--Reschedule in Progress

If you registered for the initial date and made a donation during your registration, please let us know if you would like the funds returned to you or if, for now, we should hold on to the funds toward the rescheduled date. Email wmo@archmil.org

The Importance of Being Present

by Madame Renal, women's group organizer and former mayor of Latiboliere, Haiti (with translation by Dr. Beth Lownik).

Awards

In recognition of their years of service promoting the global mission of the Church, we will present two missionaries with awards that have been created and named in their honor:

  • The Frances Cunningham Bridge Builder Award is presented to a woman who sees each encounter as an opportunity to connect while sharing the Gospel of Christ.                    
    2017 Inaugural Recipient: Frances Cunningham, OSF
     
  • The Rosemary Huddleston Being Present Award is presented to a woman who is willing to identify with and accompany individuals building solidarity with and for causes that impact human dignity.   
    2017 Inaugural Recipient: Rosemary Huddleston, OP
