Since 1991, hundreds of people have had the distinction of being a recipient of the Archbishop’s Vatican II Awards. You can view past awardees here. We invite you to nominate outstanding individuals who embody and exemplify leadership in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Who in your parish, school, or Catholic institution are outstanding leaders? They may be people who work or volunteer with you, people who make a difference in your community, people who have inspired you by their faith, energy, commitment, and devotion to the local Church. The deadline to nominate someone is Friday, May 1, 2026.

Final selections for each award will be made by Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob. Please note that current employees of the Archdiocesan central offices are not eligible to be nominated.

Everyone in the archdiocese is invited and encouraged to attend the prayer service and presentation of the awards by Archbishop Grob, which will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Award winners will invite their family, friends, and parish/school community members to join in this celebration of ministry.
