If you believe someone is in imminent danger or this is a situation of current abuse involving a minor please call 911.
If you suffered abuse, it was not your fault. If you are a victim of sexual abuse by a priest, deacon, or individual representing the Catholic Church, there are several things you can do:
- First, and most important, contact child protective services of the appropriate law enforcement agency, which can help determine options for making a criminal complaint.
- Second, please consider contacting the Victim Assistance Coordinator to make a report. You can do so either through the reporting line (414-758-2232) or email ([email protected]), whichever you prefer.
- The VAC will return your initial phone call or email within 48 hours. During this follow-up:
- Additional questions/information may be requested of you to assist in completing a formal report.
- This can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
- The Victim Assistance Coordinator is also available to arrange a personal meeting with the archbishop.
- The Victim Assistance Coordinator is also able to assist in you in obtaining and paying for behavioral health therapy.
You may also make a report anonymously through Convercent.
