For the ninth consecutive summer, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee will host Theology-on-Tap at sites throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Theology-on-Tap is a speaker series designed to address the needs, questions and interests of young adults in their 20s and 30s. Each presentation is free and begins at 7 p.m. Reservations are not required. All presentations are open to the public.
A wide variety of topics will be addressed in the series, which runs from July 6 through July 30. Each site hosts four sessions over a four-week period. A sample of the topics include:
- “What the Heck is Vatican II Anyway?”
- “Evolution vs. Creation: What is a Catholic Supposed to Believe?”
- “Bioethics: Church Teaching, the End of Life and Stem Cells.”
- “It’s More Than Just Fessing Up! The Power of the Sacrament of Reconciliation”
- “21st Century Dating”
- “Everyday Christian Living”
The eight Theology-on-Tap sites are:
- Three Holy Women Parish, Milwaukee (Holy Rosary site) – Mondays – July 6, 13, 20 and 27
- Boat House Pub and Eatery, Kenosha – Mondays – July 6, 13, 20 and 27
- O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub, Elm Grove – Tuesdays – July 7, 14, 21 and 28
- Alpine Village Restaurant, Mequon – Wednesdays – July 8, 15, 22 and 29
- Thunder Bay Restaurant and Grill, Waukesha – Wednesdays – July 8, 15, 22 and 29
- Derry Hegarty’s, Milwaukee – Thursdays – July 9, 16, 23 and 30
- De Rango’s, Racine – Thursdays – July 9, 16, 23 and 30
- Holy Family Catholic Community – Thursdays – July 9, 16, 23 and 30
