Holy Days of Obligation

There are six Holy Days of Obligation: Solemnity of Mary, Ascension, Assumption, All Saints' Day, Immaculate Conception and Christmas. Catholics are expected to observe these days by attendance at Mass.

Liturgical Calendar

The liturgical calendar begins with the First Sunday of Advent, typically the last Sunday in November or the first Sunday in December.
