April - Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This month and throughout the year, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee encourages all individuals to play a role in making our community a better place for children and families. By ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their children, we can help promote children’s social and emotional well-being and prevent child maltreatment within families and communities

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee is committed to keeping children safe every day throughout the year. For the past 10 years, we have shown that commitment during April, the United States’ Child Abuse Prevention Month. During this time, every parish and school, as well as the entire Catholic community, simultaneously focus on the importance of keeping children and youth safe.
