Faith, Character, and Service

  • Leads students in daily classroom prayer, helps plan assigned school liturgies, attends All-School Masses

  • Assists with school service projects and activities

  • Models and encourages Christian virtues and values

  • Engages in life-long faith formation and keeps religious education clock hours up-to-date

  • Communicates the school’s religious mission through appropriate attitude and action

A Foundation of Academic Excellence

  • Plans and provides instruction in assigned subjects aligned to the school curriculum

  • Uses a variety of teaching techniques, materials, and assignments regularly and effectively

  • Chooses instructional materials and resources that are suitable to the instructional goals

  • Employs various assessment strategies to inform instruction and to communicate student progress

  • Through appropriate behavior management, maintains a classroom climate that facilitates learning

  • Keeps parents informed regarding student performance, including but not limited to report cards and regular entries in the online grade book

  • Participates in development and improvement of curriculum and in textbook selection

  • Participates in activities which contribute to professional development, maintains a current PDP, Smart goals

  • Maintains current teaching certification issued by the State of Wisconsin

    Community

  • Creates a climate that promotes respect, cooperation, and kindness among students

  • Works collegially and respectfully with other school staff members, parish staff, and clergy

  • Maintains positive rapport with parents and communicates proactively about classroom activities and curriculum (including a regular newsletter)

Development of the Whole Child

  • Is attentive to the social, emotional, and physical needs of students

  • Provides for individual differences among students

  • Works to improve student responsibility, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills

  • Communicates effectively with specialty teachers to enable curriculum integration as appropriate

Other Responsibilities

  • Follows school regulations and policies

  • Handles confidential and/or official information with discretion

  • Maintains accurate attendance records

  • Provides bus, playground, or lunchroom supervision as assigned

  • Attends faculty meetings, in-services, and Archdiocesan teachers convention as scheduled

  • Demonstrates willingness to go beyond assigned duties

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree, WI Teaching licensure preferred
