Works in collaboration in implementing the Family and Youth programs (K4-11).
Responsible for directing the child catechesis component of religious education program.
Coordinates the sacramental program for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
Plans in conjunction with the Pastor, the parent orientations and sacramental preparation meeting.
Works in collaboration with Pastor in developing sacramental liturgies.
Works with Pastoral Associate in providing RCIA process adapted for children.
Encourages catechists to take courses toward certification.
Informs and updates parents of guidelines and outcomes for specific grade levels.
Organizes and distributes materials to the students, their parents and the catechists.
On-site presence at both St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Joan of Arc for Christian Formation sessions.
Maintains records of Religious Education program.
Develops and works with the budget allocated for the operation of the program.
Attend and support Christian Formation Committee meetings.
Supervises and maintains records of appropriate training/cerfications required by the Archdiocese.
Qualifications
Master Degree, preferred, or Bachelor's Degree in Religious studies or working towards a degree.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
