Learning Resource Center Aide

  • Serves as a positive role model of the Catholic faith is his/her words, deeds, demeanor, dress, and actions both within and outside of the classroom.

  • Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, religion, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.

  • Assists teachers in integrating religious studies concepts throughout the curriculum.

  • Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and to implement assigned programs.

  • Assists with classroom behavior management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and to ensure that students are on task.

  • Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, corridor duty, bathroom, and other related non-instructional tasks.

  • Accompanies students on field trips for supervisory purposes.

  • Constructs, copies, distributes and uses educational materials as directed by the teacher.

  • Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.

  • Understands and adheres to all tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.

  • Maintains a lifestyle that is in full accord with Church teachings both within and outside of the school environment.

  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

  • This person must be available to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University with a specialization in Education is preferred, but is not required.

  • Possession of an Wisconsin Professional Educator License is preferred, but is not required.

  • Employee will be regularly required to walk, use hands, talk, hear, or smell.  The employee will frequently need to sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, knell, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifteen pounds.

  • Safe Environment training required and Background Check required.
