Stewardship: Recognizing, Sharing and Multiplying God's Gifts

is a video produced as a part of the Parish Reflection sessions that will be held across the Archdiocese this year in preparation for the Archdiocesan Synod, which will take place in June 2014. Each parish session includes three parts: Catholic Identity, Evangelization and Stewardship. This video will be the introduction for the Stewardship section and touches on the definition of Stewardship: God is infinitely good, the giver of all good gifts. Whatever He gives, we are assured by faith that the gift is meant to be put to good use, multiplied, and shared. St. Paul reminds us that, "To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ" (1 Corinthians 12:7, 12).

The Synod will provide the faith community the opportunity to develop a renewed vision of how we work together in implementing our pastoral priorities of Catholic Identity, Evangelization and Stewardship. The hope of the Synod will be to re-energize Catholics in their faith and inspire a new evangelization within the Church of southeastern Wisconsin. Though not a requirement, participants are also encouraged to read and reflect on this letter. Click here for more information.

This video showcases individuals and their own witnesses related to stewardship. Viewers of this video are encouraged to promote and share it in available channels such as e-mail, Facebook, parish Web sites and other available social media channels.
