Ladies and Gentlemen, step right up to the Most Magnificent, the Most Marvelous, the Grandest Spectacle of Bavarian Bliss This Side of the Atlantic—the 2nd Annual DTKC Oktoberfest! Behold, as we pay tribute to our parish’s illustrious German heritage in a whirlwind of wonder and delight that will leave you breathless and begging for more.
On Friday, September 26, from 5:00-10:00 p.m., the St. Elizabeth Church courtyard, 714 49th Street, shall erupt into a veritable paradise of expanded tents and oceans of seating, where every soul from near and far can revel in comfort fit for kings and queens.
Feast your senses on a banquet of epic proportions, all yours for the taking—succulent Oktoberfest Brats, Regular Brats, and Jumbo Hot Dogs, each cradled in pretzel buns or brat buns, crowned with fresh sauerkraut, onions simmered in the finest beer, and a treasury of mustards from whole grain to Dijon and our own homemade brown mustard aioli. Or choose the Knackwurst in a boat, majestically afloat on a sea of sauerkraut with condiments at your command.
Accompany these titans with golden French fries, irresistible pretzel bites, colossal pretzels, or beer-battered garlic cheese curds, elevated by sides of velvety cheese sauce, brown mustard garlic aioli, garlic aioli, or the classic ketchup.
Then, for the crowning glory, indulge in desserts that defy description—warm apple pie rolls, root beer funnel cake-battered cheese curds drenched in lemon sauce, homemade decadent German chocolate sheet cake, and enchanting Black Forest cake.
Quench your thirst with steins of frothy beer or sparkling root beer, while the air vibrates with the authentic Bavarian melodies of Ed Jacobi & Die Musikmeisters Band, returning to entertain us once again.
This is no ordinary gathering—it’s the Greatest Celebration on Earth, where laughter echoes, friendships forge, and memories etch eternally. This is one festive party that you won’t want to miss.
See you there—Prost!
