To provide targeted academic, behavioral, and organizational support to students needing assistance, allowing teachers to maximize instructional and learning time in the classroom.

Assisting the lead teacher during whole-group instruction by monitoring student understanding and helping maintain on-task behavior.

Working one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce content introduced by the teacher, particularly in literacy and math.

Supporting students with executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, task initiation, and follow-through.

Participating in classroom planning and preparation of lessons or assessments.

Providing input to the teacher when preparing for parent/guardian meetings regarding student progress and behavior.

Supervising students during specials (Art, Music, PE, ACES, Spanish), lunch, recess, Mass, field trips, and other school-related activities.

Assuming leadership of the classroom when the teacher is absent.

Supporting instructional staff with classroom preparation, grading, note-taking, and testing.

Maintaining clear, professional communication with staff and families under the direction of the lead teacher.
