Alumni and Engagement Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Alumni and Constituent Engagement

  • Lead the planning and execution of events including reunions, alumni networking opportunities, service projects, and regional gatherings.
     

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase alumni involvement and volunteer participation in school events and initiatives, including but not limited to the MUHS Golf Invitational, Academy Dinner, Breakfast with Santa, and the triennial Athletic Hall of Fame events.
     

  • Engage parents and alumni parents by creating and supporting events and initiatives designed to strengthen their connection and participation with the school community.
     

  • Serve as a liaison to the Alumni Committee, Hall of Fame Committee of the Board of Directors, and support class reunion committees.
     

  • Foster meaningful connections between alumni and current students through mentorship programs, career networking, and volunteer opportunities.
     

  • Cultivate and manage networking opportunities and mentoring programs to strengthen lifelong relationships within the MUHS community.
     

  • Track constituent obituaries and coordinate MUHS representation at wakes and funerals when appropriate.
     

  • Support giving campaigns, reunion giving efforts, and other fundraising initiatives.
     

  • Assist with constituent receptions and other special events as requested.

 

Other Engagement 

 

  • Utilize digital marketing tools including social media platforms, website pages, email, SMS, and other online communication systems (e.g., CMS, Almabase, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge) to build relationships with alumni and other constituents.
     

  • Assist with maintenance and updates to the database and alumni directory to ensure accurate records of constituent information and engagement history.
     

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for constituent inquiries regarding school events, giving opportunities, and other engagement programs.
     

  • Collaborate with development personnel to support the creation and distribution of alumni communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, and social media content.

Qualifications

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

College degree preferred. Values consistent with the mission of a Catholic, Jesuit education. Excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills. Computer skills:  Microsoft Office software; CRM experience is preferred.  Self-starter, ability to work with limited direct supervision. Flexibility with work schedule; availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required. Ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining complete confidentiality. 

 

Does not need to be an alumnus of Marquette University High School. 

 

Must be willing to travel on a limited basis.   

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

 

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Development.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

This is a 12-month position that will require occasional evening and weekend work and travel to different locations.
