The Annual Fund Manager is a 12-month, full time position that is primarily responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive, strategic, and integrated effort to build a base of individual/foundational donors and increase the level of philanthropic support received though the annual fund. This Manager leads year-round cultivation, solicitations, and stewardship efforts which support the school’s annual operational fundraising goals. Additionally, the Manager will supervise the management of the database integrity and utilization, and execution of departmental grant writing/reporting activities. The Annual Fund Manager works closely with the Advancement Associate, the Marketing and Communications Supervisor, and the Events & Community Engagement Manager, and reports to the Senior Advancement Director.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a working knowledge of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School’s Catholic, Jesuit mission in general, and funding priorities specifically, to articulate a compelling case for support to various constituent groups.
- Plan and implement a comprehensive multifaceted annual appeals program for key constituents to support the school’s mission and build a pipeline of support to improve participation, dollars raised, and donors engaged.
- Manage a portfolio of annual donors: identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with foundation-based program officers, and individual donors in collaboration with organizational leadership.
- Research, qualify, cultivate, and solicit individuals capable of making an annual gift of $1,000 or more.
- Prioritize and submit grant proposals, and coordinate/execute all impact reporting. Work to identify and lead relationship development with new grant-making partners.
- Identify and develop a comprehensive plan for increased matching and recurring gifts.
- Develop reports as needed to inform fund strategy and to measure fundraising progress.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of solicitations, annual fund, KPI, and strategic initiatives to determine progress toward goals.
- Participate in educational and professional development opportunities to further the personal and organizational growth of philanthropy at CRJ.
- Attend community sponsored evening and weekend activities, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assignments not specific to the annual fund.
