Position Responsibilities:
● Marketing:
o Execute marketing campaigns, working closely with vendors, and monitoring the effectiveness and
success of campaigns
o Manage bi-annual school print newsletter, including gathering content and tracking story ideas
o Manage the production of annual events and other marketing and communications pieces.
o Oversee all school external-facing marketing materials, including newsletters, flyers, invitations,
specialty pieces, presentations, print and electronic advertisements, signage, outdoor banners, etc.
o Manage website content management ensuring content is updated regularly and work to ensure
website is consistently meeting Search Engine Optimization (SEO) standards
o Curate high-interest content to increase activity on social media channels, including Facebook,
Instagram and YouTube, ensuring content is created and posted regularly
o Coordinate photography of key events and daily activities throughout the school year for use in
publications, on websites and on social media platforms.
o Lead designing and producing videos, images, advertisements, and other digital marketing efforts.
o Manages relationships with outside marketing-related vendors or contacts (designers, printers, etc.)
for the organization.
● Communications
o Manages consistent messaging, language internally and externally to provide consistency and
uniformity for all communication aspects at Nativity.
o Develop metrics to ensure the marketing and communication plan is effective, and report on the
progress of marketing/communication efforts
o Research and develop content for e-communications
o Collaborate, create, and design event collateral, select donor appeal pieces, and other printed
communication materials.
o Prepare talking points, speeches, presentations, and other supporting materials as needed.
o Serve as media contact, draft and distribute all press releases, and form strong relationships with local
print, radio, and television media.
o Serve as point of contact for outside communication/marketing-related vendors: design, printing,
mailing, etc.
● Event Support
o Assist the Assistant Director of Events and Engagement with fundraising event processes before, during,
and after the events
o Major fundraising events include Annual Golf Outing (late July) and Scholarship Dinner (April/May)
o Support with additional donor stewardship events
● Handle other responsibilities and tasks assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Position Qualifications/Characteristics:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● At least two years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or event management
● Experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, marketing literature,
and other print publications.
● Ability to speak and write Spanish would be an asset
● Strong track record as a project manager and an implementer
● Strong writing/editing and verbal communication skills
● Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
● Demonstrated ability in drafting, editing, and proofreading documents with advanced proficiency in
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
● Deadline-driven and goal-oriented
● Self-starter and able to work independently
● Energetic, respectful, flexible, collaborative, and proactive with the ability to work with others within the
