Associate Director of Faith Formation (Part-Time or Full-Time Options)

  • Under the supervision of the Director of Faith Formation, help design, organize and execute various programs and activities for adults and students in K-12th as part of the Faith Formation Team.
  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them, in person and by using Social media.
  • Prepare documents and reports by collecting information, data and graphics and compiling into the best format to pass the gathered information to others.
  • Fulfill administrative duties for the Faith Formation Team to include preparing /sending correspondence; creating, updating and filing forms; updating bulletin boards and social media posts; and scheduling.
  • Count and record payments; prepare and submit deposits to Finance Office; maintain financial records for the Faith Formation Team. 
  • Gather all required documents for those preparing for Sacraments such as baptismal certificates.
  • Coordinate, set-up, and assist with administrative needs for meetings, conferences, liturgical celebrations, and other events as needed.
  • Maintain catechist contacts, files and documents.
  • Create and maintain database of families and students enrolled in programs; complete and assist in the registrations of all Faith Formation programs; update records for families/ Sacramental Dates; maintain class rosters, prepare letters and additional reports as needed.
  • Attend required meetings and gatherings, taking minutes and assisting as needed.
  • Order faith formation related office and catechist materials. 
  • Maintain supplies and resources for faith formation in an organized manner. 
  • Contribute to team effort as needed.
  • Attend all class times and be a substitute catechist when needed.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned, as this position changes and/or grows.

  • Public Speaking- must be comfortable and effective in leading groups of all ages.
  • Self-motivated and ready to spread the Good News of our Lord to our parishioners.
  • Organized, creative, technology trained, ready to develop, design, publish and deliver informative and exciting opportunities for growth within our parishes as well as beyond.
  • A high level of organizational and interpersonal skill is required. 
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, dividing, and multiplying.
  • Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to record and compose minutes.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and compose appropriate responses to correspondence and inquiries from diocesan entities, parishioners, or members of the business community.
  • Must possess a heightened sense of confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
  • Requires proven multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks and time demands effectively. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Excel, Canva, and Outlook. 
  • Strong sense of respect for and knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Must be able to work well with various personalities within the Catholic Church.
