1. Respect and encourage the uniqueness and individual differences of each student.
2. Model and encourage Christian values by word and by example. Treat all members of the community with respect and dignity.
3. Support a standard based academic curriculum and the religion curriculum advanced by the Milwaukee Archdiocese.
4. Support classroom lead teacher with classroom management, small group instruction, prepare materials/copies for lessons, maintain organization and classroom order, and complete tasks as assigned by lead teacher in timely manner.
5. Fulfill lunchroom and/or recess duties as assigned or requested.
6. Follow instructional plans as given, which will provide meaningful learning experiences and meet the academic needs of the individual students.
7. Provide proper supervision for all students in your care at all times.
8. Participate in classroom meetings as requested by the lead teacher and in-service/faculty meetings as requested by the principal.
9. Work under the direction of the lead teachers and supervision of the principal.
10. Attend all special training sessions required for employment or specific student circumstances. ex: medical training for student needs, Safe Environment, Blood borne pathogens, etc.)
Communication
1. Help create a professional working atmosphere.
2. Communicate with lead teachers to provide for curriculum connections as well as information concerning student needs and concerns.
3. Communicate with parents as requested by the lead teacher and principal.
4. Practice punctuality in completing school duties, administrative requests and observing times for school arrival/end of day.
ADA Physical Requirements:
- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear, accompany/lead students throughout the building, and ascend and descend stairs.
- The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; use hands; reach with hands and arms.
- Close vision required for paperwork and computer.
- Able to utilize computer keyboard, monitor, classroom technology equipment, and telephone.
- This role functions in school environment and uses standard classroom equipment.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- The employee is required to supervise students both inside and outside of the school building for assigned duties; stand, move, attend to, and monitor students in various Wisconsin weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and states of precipitation.

Nature of Supervision Received:
Works under the direction of the principal with support from lead teacher. Works independently within the authority limits and experience level. Requires individual initiative in needs and problems.
Informal and formal observations, reviews, and a summative evaluation are performed each year.

Employee is expected to take initiative and make decisions based on the mission and vision of parish and/or school and direction from the supervisor and/or Pastor.
