Communications Coordinator

  • Develop, design, publish, and deliver marketing materials for the Parish ministries including weekly bulletins, monthly newsletters, flyers, brochures, announcements, social media and website updates.
  • Oversee, edit and update the above materials for accuracy and consistency by communicating with staff and parishioners for changes of schedule, cancellations etc. as needed.
  • Produce and maintain a “Showcase” document of the events, ministries and parish happenings throughout the year.
  • Serve as a member of the front office team by joining forces to receive visitors, take calls and complete general office duties.
  • Work to learn and develop new ways to advance and improve communications to our parishioners and community.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned, as this position changes and/or grows.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Strong computer keyboard skills with the ability to use Microsoft products (Publisher, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and Gmail
  • Willing to learn to become proficient with additional programs, Parish Directory System, Constant Contact, Canva, and additional programs as needs transition.
  • Must pass background check and Safe Environment Education course provided by the Archdiocese.
  • Ability to maintain ethics and confidentiality standard of the parish.
  • Photography abilities and eye for graphic design.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) this skill will increase job duties to translate letters, documents and conduct in person communication as needed.  (pay increase with this skill possible)
  • Organized, Creative, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multitasking ability with strong work ethic and ability to start and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

ADDITIONAL NOTES • Your workweek will be divided between St. Andrew- Delavan and St. Patrick- Elkhorn offices. • Hours can be made somewhat flexible with start/end times to form a work schedule that works with you. • Must be able to be productive in a high foot traffic area. • Must be able to sit for long periods, working on a computer.
