Custodial and Groundskeeping Worker

 WORKER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Employee shall have the desire and skills necessary to perform the following:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions from staff.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules
  • Reads and follows equipment manuals or documents.
  • Cleans all areas of the facility in a safe & efficient manner.
  • Maintains all exterior planting beds.
  • Wash windows.
  • Keeps a log of maintenance and areas cleaned.
  • Check the pH of the Baptismal Font monthly.
  • Check the battery on the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) monthly.
  • Shovel path to exterior door in a snow emergency.
  • Unload food pantry truck delivery, in an emergency.
  • Reports any abnormal issues to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

WORKER QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

  • Employee shall be able to perform the following physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting of at least 50 lbs.
  • Communicates effectively in the English language; both written & verbal.
  • Demonstrates a pleasant collaborative work ethic, with all staff, contractors and parishoners.

WORK HOURS: Work schedule to be determined (Monday-Thursday). 15 hours per week to start. Rate of pay to be $20.00 / hour.
