Job Duties and Responsibilities
General Cleaning Tasks
Daily:
1. Work 25 hours per week during the school year. Scheduled work time hours will be determined under the direction and approval of the Facilities Manager.
2. Cleaning all school bathrooms which includes but is not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning sinks, toilets and mirrors.
3. Refill soap and paper products.
4. Clean and remove trash from assigned rooms/offices.
5. Sweep and vacuum assigned area/offices
6. Perform all additional custodial work as assigned by Facilities Manager.
As needed:
1. Wet mop stairwells and hallways.
2. Report any needed repairs to the Facilities Manager.
Security:
1. Turn off all lights and lock all doors at end of each shift, as appropriate.
2. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and alert Facilities Manager of anything unusual.
Qualifications
The individual being considered for hire should possess the following:
1. High School graduate or its equivalent.
2. The ability to climb stairs and lift 25 pounds.
3. The ability to troubleshoot problems and make appropriate decisions.
4. Good work habits, punctuality, responsibility, honesty, positive work attitude and dependability.
5. The ability to work extra hours under special circumstances.
6. Is detail oriented and have an eye for neatness.
7. Good communications skills (verbal and written).
8. Properly complete daily and scheduled assignments.
9. Take direction and complete tasks in a safe and satisfactory manner.
10. Possess the experience and knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and supplies necessary
to perform all duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description or a strong willingness
to learn.
