Development Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Become independently proficient in Raiser’s Edge to handle the following: event creation, registration, and processing; gift entry and acknowledgement; pulling queries, exports and reports for various segment-based communications, nametags, mailings, etc.
  2. Assist with the above stated Raiser’s Edge responsibilities for special events including, but not limited to: DSHA Auction, Golf Outing, Benefit Parties, Mother and Father Daughter, Alumnae Weekend and DSHA Connect Events, Medalist Lunch, President’s Dinner, Junior Interview Day, Santa’s Workshop, DSHA/MUHS Christmas Party, Career Day, Grandparents Liturgy, and Volunteer Dinner.
  3. Become independently proficient in auction software, tracking and entering auction items and registrations.
  4. Execute mail merges from Raiser’s Edge as a part of assisting with donor acknowledgement letters and other donor communications.  
  5. Manage and execute the scholarship thank you card process, which happens twice/year.
  6. Manage the Foundations calendar for proposals, reporting and stewardship.
  7. Incorporate and maintain DSHA’s mission and vision throughout all communications-based projects, maintaining DSHA’s brand standard and voice.
  8. Complete other duties as required in support of the Development team.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Position requires 1-3 years of experience of experience in databases and/or special events support. An Associate’s degree is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Effective oral, written and organizational skills are essential for success in the position.  Incumbent will work with diverse groups and will need to communicate effectively with all.  Incumbent must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work on multiple projects within specific timeframes with varying deadlines.  Must be able to maintain confidential student and coach data.  The ability to take the initiative with projects and to work both independently and as part of a group is required.  Proficient computer skills with experience using MS Office software, school database software, athletic software and the Internet and email is required.  Appropriate phone skills are also required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  Frequently, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: 

The work takes place in primarily an office/school environment.
