Our teachers have the privilege/responsibility of forming the minds and souls of God’s children. We hold the belief that our teacher’s personal relationship with Christ and prayer life is the single most effective way to influence the student’s knowledge of and relationship with Christ. Whether it be through a consistently joyful disposition, personal prayer or visits to the chapel, our children are impacted as much or more through the genuine modeling of the faith than through formal instruction and catechesis.
In the classroom, teachers display genuine love and joy with students, parents, and staff. Teachers understand that parents are the primary educators and that they support the parents in forming the children of Aquinas Academy to know and live Catholic orthodoxy; to know what is genuinely true, good, and beautiful; to achieve academic excellence; and to discern and embrace our divine vocation to transform society.
As Aquinas continues to develop its classical identity, we seek teachers who are bold in their pedagogical approach, foster a spirit of wonder and an appreciation for beauty, model virtue as they shape their students’ souls, model a prudential use of technology, and display a genuine love and joy in their daily responsibilities.
