General Manager Sullivan Campus - CMA

Summary

The General Manager is responsible for operations at Catholic Memorial Athletics (CMA), solely owned by Catholic Memorial High School (CMH). Its General Manager is responsible for providing the overall leadership, supervision, and coordination of CMA, Sullivan Campus. This individual is responsible for business development, as well as, aligning all activities on the campus including CMH high school athletics, Jr Crusaders, and all rentals. This individual will represent CMA and activities of the Sullivan Campus in the community, identifying and negotiating business partners, rentals, and special events. Must align area of responsibility with CMA mission, purpose, and values. Collaborate with all members of the senior leadership team at CMH. Works to ensure all participants on the campus are provided high-quality educational experience. This position works in collaboration with CMH school leaders and its Board of Directors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Alignment and Integration
    1. Identify, solicit, and negotiate potential partners for CMA.
    2. Manage all rental agreements for CMA.
    3. Collaborate with the Athletic Director of Catholic Memorial High School to ensure alignment between high school sports, Jr. Crusaders, and all other uses of the campus.
    4. Collaborate with Development Department on stewardship of all sponsorship deliverables.
    5. Establish standards and expectations for all teams, coaches and referees using the facilities and hold them accountable to these standards.
    6. Ensure that all activities on the campus are compliant with all rules of CMA and the WIAA as well as professional coaching organizations.
  2. Planning
    1. Develop and manage a balanced budget for CMA.
    2. In collaboration with the Facility Director, the Facilities Committee, the Athletic Committee and Administration, oversee the improvements of facility and the implementation of the master facility plan.
    3. Ensure safe and proper facilities for practice and competitions.
  3. Revenue
    1. Responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing earned revenue opportunities for the facility.
    2. Oversee cash management on the campus.
    3. Achieve the earned revenue annual goal.
    4. Collaborate with the CMH Development Department for philanthropic support of the campus.
  4. Administration
    1. Serve as the lead for the master planning committee of CMA, including the organizational model and structure.
    2. Serve on the Athletic Committee of the Board of Directors for CMH.
    3. Is a member of the senior leadership team of CMH.
    4. Align activities of CMA with the CMA and CMH mission, vision, and values.
    5. Oversee CMA staffing and volunteer management.
    6. Ensure a safe campus for all that meets all compliance requirements.
    7. Collaborate with communications team to ensure CMA contributes in a positive way to the CMH brand.

Qualifications

  1. Previous experience in athletic facility or athletic club program management.
  2. Experience in sponsorship revenue generation, revenue responsibilities and proven record of developing programs.
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills
  4. Ability to work and cooperate with colleagues, parents, partners, and athletes.
  5. Hours extend outside the normal business day and may include weekends.
  6. Required to pass background check and participate in our safeguarding program.
  7. Must be self-motivated and well organized.
  8. Computer proficiency:  Database Management, Excel, Word, etc.
  9. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
