K5 Classroom Assistant

  • Support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson delivery

  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives

  • Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays

  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal times as needed

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment

  • Assist with grading assignments, record-keeping, and other clerical duties

  • Support students with special needs or learning differences, following teacher and specialist guidance

  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom culture

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students

  • Uphold school policies and procedures at all times

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational/Experiential Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Passion for education and working with children

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Education or a related field

  • Previous experience in a school or childcare setting

  • CPR/First Aid certification
