Understand school’s mission and his/her role in it by:
● Serving as role model for Catholic values for students and families
● Demonstrates professional demeanor and attitude in alignment with the school’s mission
● Reflects on practice by:
● Taking responsibility for professional growth,. open and applies to feedback
● Demonstrating a commitment towards spiritual growth in the context of the Catholic School
● Collaborating with colleagues
Qualifications
● Practicing Catholic
● Postsecondary degree in Catholic theology preferred but not required
● One of the following:
○ State teacher license
○ Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 semester hours of credit in teacher education from an
accredited institution as part of, or in addition to, the degree.
■ A teacher in need of up to 12 credit hours must submit a plan of study to the
Archdiocese of Milwaukee Office for Schools by October 1st of the year of the initial
contract for the position. The teacher will have three years from the commencement
date of the initial contract to complete required credit hours.
○ Bachelor’s degree and an individualized plan of study to attain licensure/certification
approved by the Archdiocese.
● Basic Religious Education Certification preferred but not required
