The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to the teachings and sacramental life of the Catholic Church. This educator will be responsible for guiding middle school students in deepening their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while fostering a respectful and engaging classroom environment rooted in Gospel values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Religion/Theology to students in grades 6-8 in alignment with Archdiocesan Religion Standards.
- Actively participate in and promote the sacramental life of the Church within the school community.
- Create a respectful and welcoming classroom culture that encourages spiritual, intellectual, and moral growth.
- Use effective instructional strategies to support diverse learners.
- Collaborate closely with fellow faculty, administration, and parents in support of student development and growth.
- Integrate technology meaningfully for instruction, communication, and student engagement.
- Model and uphold the highest standards of Catholic identity and professional integrity.
Qualifications
- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license (or willingness to pursue Archdiocesan certification).
- Prior teaching experience, especially in middle school, is highly valued.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
