This position will provide up to 16 hours of weekly office support, for an annual 10-month term, August through May. The workweek is flexible and will include most Monday evenings (October-April) and occassional weekend hours. The Religious Formation Assistant will work for the Director of Child & Family Ministry and the Youth Ministry Coordinator and will collaborate with other staff members to serve the St. Matthew community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains a welcoming environment for visitors, students, staff members, and host speakers.
Provides reception services during class times (phone, email, resources, accurate information).
Reviews and processes class registrations (online, in-person, tracks payments, sends balances/receipts).
Prepares collected payments for submission.
Serves as the recordkeeper of student/family files (enrollments, attendance, tuition assistance).
Plays an active role in retreat days, special sessions, and occasional family gatherings.
Coordinates outreach project times and monitors supplies (prayer shawls, Advent scrip, ERAS group, etc.).
Updates department information (parish website, app, social media, bulletin blurb).
Secures substitute catechists.
