Holy Hill is looking for conscientious, self-motivated young men to serve as junior sacristan. Primary responsibilities are for the general care, orderliness and cleanliness of the Basilica and Shrine Chapels. Daily duties include, but are not limited to: Set-up and clean-up of various Liturgical Celebrations, processing of vigil candles and altar candles, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, restocking and straightening up of the church, chapels and sacristy. This is a part-time position (10-20 hours per week), familiarity with the Catholic Faith is beneficial. This is a support role reporting to the lead sacristan.
Qualifications
Ability to follow instructions in order to complete daily tasks. Must be able to operate basic cleaning equipment, be able to regularly stand, walk, use hands, bend over, kneel, etc., and talk and hear satisfactorily. The employee must be able to climb stairs and be able to do light lifting and assist in moving heavier equipment.
