Work with current school counselor to cover all duties during materinty leave.

Plan and implement the school-selected social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum in collaboration with classroom teachers

Manage student behavior guided by Gospel values

Create a faith-filled environment that engages the whole student

Observe student behavior in the classroom as needed

Use data analysis to identify student issues, needs, and challenges

Develop programs to address student issues, needs, and challenges

Engage in student behavior analysis with staff (e.g. principal, teachers, administration)

Communicate with families regarding student behaviors and concerns
-
Provide training, professional learning, or in-service to others
-
Apply psychological techniques in the school environment

Counsel students 1:1 regularly and/or after a negative event to assist in teaching appropriate coping skills
-
Counsel small groups in an area of need (e.g. friendship problems, anxiety, etc.)

Engage in crisis prevention, intervention, and post-intervention

Assist in student IEP evaluation process and/or attend IEP meetings
-
Meet regularly with administration with updates regarding student needs and/or concerns

Attend school staff in-service meetings
-
Give guidance to adults/staff who need to call Child Protective Services (CPS)

Serve as High School Liaison

Provide students with scholarship and application information, testing dates, open enrollment, information nights, and information regarding high school entrance exams

Co-plan high school information night with the principal

Other duties as assigned.
