Special Education Teacher/Literacy Interventionist

  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction in literacy to support struggling readers
  • Develop and implement intervention plans using research-based instructional strategies
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to create effective learning plans
  • Implement accommodations and modifications to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that aligns with Catholic values and teachings
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to inform instruction and intervention strategies
  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student progress
  • Support the mission of Christ King Parish School by nurturing students spiritually, academically, and socially

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Reading, or a related field
  • Current Wisconsin teaching license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Experience in literacy intervention and/or special education preferred
  • Strong commitment to Catholic education and the ability to integrate faith into teaching
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for helping all students reach their full potential
