Substitute Teachers

Do you want to make a difference with students? Do you want the ability to have a flexible schedule while earning competitive wages? Join an exceptional team and become a substitute for St. Joseph Catholic School in Wauwatosa! If you have an Associate’s Degree or higher, you are eligible to become a substitute teacher! An easy process to obtain a three-year substitute license is all that is required.

If you are a student enrolled in an educator preparation program, have successfully completed credits to achieve junior status, and have completed 15 hours of classroom observation, you may also be eligible to substitute teach! 

Qualifications

Candidates will need to:

 

  • Have a Wisconsin state teaching license OR an Associates degree or higher and be willing to obtain a 3-year substitute license.
  • Follow classroom teacher's instructions and teach students according to the plans
  • Follow school protocols and classroom rules
  • Perform classroom teacher duties (as directed)
  • Fun, passionate about learning and energetic
  • Display classroom management skills
  • Having completed or willing to complete the Safeguarding All God’s Children certification.
