Archbishop Listecki to Join Pope Francis in Consecration of Russia and Ukraine
Archbishop Jerome Listecki will be joining Pope Francis and Bishops around the world in consecrating Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary next Friday, March 25. The act of consecration will take place at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 812 N. Jackson St., Milwaukee.
PLEASE NOTE: In Rome, Pope Francis will begin praying the consecratory prayer at the end of a communal liturgy celebrating the Sacrament of Penance. This liturgy may last an hour to an hour and a half. In Milwaukee, Archbishop Listecki will begin the act of consecration right at 11 a.m. central. This act of consecration will not be done simultaneously with Pope Francis.
El arzobispo Jerome Listecki se unirá al Papa Francisco y a los obispos de todo el mundo para consagrar a Rusia y Ucrania al Inmaculado Corazón de María el próximo viernes 25 de marzo. Pope Francis has invited all Catholic Bishops to hold a consecration ceremony at the same time as he will be at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. People are welcome to attend the ceremony at the cathedral, or they can watch via live stream from a link:
