Plenary Indulgence available to the Faithful who visit Holy Hill
Jeffrey S. Grob
Miseratione Divina et Apostolicae Sedis Gratia Archiepiscopus Milvaukiensis
During this year celebrating the 100th anniversary of the canonization of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, I, the undersigned Archbishop of Milwaukee, in accord with the norms of the Enchiridion Indulgentiarum, declare that the Christian faithful of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, as well as those who travel here from outside the territory of the archdiocese, having fulfilled the required conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion, prayers for the Supreme Pontiffs intentions) and in a spirit of total detachment from any inclination to sin, may benefit from a Plenary Indulgence on the following occasion:
• Visitation to the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill. The faithful must participate in a liturgy or at least pause for an
appropriate time in prayer and meditation, especially praying from any of the works of St. Teresa and/ or in front of the display of her relics.
The three conditions may be fulfilled several days before or after the visitation. However, it is most desirable that the Eucharist be celebrated and the prayers for the intentions of the Pope offered on the day of the visitation.
Given this 21st day of October, 2025.
Most Reverend Jeffery S. Grob
Archbishop of Milwaukee
