  What is a Eucharistic Congress?

A large gathering of people of all ages and cultures from across the Church to encounter Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, to pray, and be formed so our lives can be transformed. The first International Eucharistic Congress was in 1881. Eucharistic Congresses have been offered nationally and internationally ever since. This is the 1st National Eucharistic Congress in 83 years. Historically, they include opportunities like open air Masses, Eucharistic processions, inspiring speakers, formation, discussions, and more.

  Who is it for?

Everyone. Individuals, couples, families, youth, the lay faithful, clergy, religious, parish staff, and more. The US Bishops have asked every parish to send at least one person to the Congress in order to bring the experience back to those who cannot be there. More than 80,000 pilgrims are expected.

Why would I want to go?

Because the Church needs healing. And the world needs the Church. Come for a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ and his Church. This historic event promises to be a pivotal moment in both American history and the legacy of the Catholic Church.

What if a group from our parish wish to participate together?

When individuals register and indicate their parish name and city, we will seat them together on the same bus and as much as possible assign them hotel rooms together. You are welcome to organize your parishioners to gather for meals or to process at the end of each day.

What hotel are you staying in?

  How will meals be handled?

The National Eucharistic Congress Pass does not include meals and we are not allowed to carry in food. Lunches and suppers may be purchased at the stadium and other event venue vendors, and there is a food court nearby. You may choose to eat your breakfast at the hotel restaurant or bring breakfast items for your room. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge.

What if my parish wants to sponsor part of my cost of attending?

Once a person has registered for the congress, the parish can send a check to Peter’s Way to be credited to your account.
