Archbishop to Pull Names from Buildings

The names of former Milwaukee archbishops William E. Cousins and Rembert G. Weakland, will be removed from buildings in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee as part of the Catholic Church’s continuing response to the clergy sexual abuse of minors.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Service, 2019

2019 marks the 28th annual Rev. Dr. MLK Memorial Prayer Service. This annual event will take place Saturday, January 19, 1:30 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1927 N. Fourth St., Milwaukee at 1:30 P.M.

Catholic Charities Discontinue Refugee Resettlement

Due to low arrival numbers in the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is discontinuing a number of its Migration and Refugee Services Reception and Placement programs across the country. As a result, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is ending its Resettlement Program.

Memorial Day Masses to be Held at Catholic Cemeteries

Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee will hold seven Memorial Day Masses in honor of all military veterans on Monday, May 28, 2018, each beginning at 10 a.m. Auxiliary Bishop Jeffrey Haines will celebrate Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
