Barracuda Spam Filter

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee's email system is changing to cloud based filtering to compliment cloud based email.  Cloud based filtering provides greater resources than those available with the previous filters that were used in our data center.  

We'll be using Barracuda Networks' cloud filtering.  Many of you will be familiar with Barracuda, as that was our original filtering appliance for a number of years.

The basics will remain very similar but there are some changes. 

• You will receive a daily quarantine message for any email flagged as suspicious
• You will have options to deliver or delete anything in quarantine
• You will use a unique Barracuda password to access the system
  • During the switch, users will automatically receive an email with instructions on setting a password
  • Users can reset their own passwords (according to the password guide) at any point in the future
