Safe Environment Week 2017
Class project? Art class? Homework assignment? Something to do as a family? All of the above, and then some! The Archdiocese of Milwaukee hopes that your parish family and school will take the time to observe Child Abuse Prevention Month during Safe Environment Week (April 22–29, 2018) by creating something beautiful to reflect the message of courage. We invite students from grades K4 – 12 grade to illustrate how we can all be courageous as followers of Christ.
Contestants may utilize any art medium (crayons, markers, watercolors, etc.) The poster must be on ledger paper (11X17) or larger. The final winner(s) from each age group will be chosen by Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki. The winning posters will be displayed in the Archbishop Cousins Catholic Center, as well as on the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s social media for all to admire.
Please make sure that each entry includes name(s), grade(s), parish and/or school. Entries will be judged by a selection committee.
Judging will be done as follows, by age group:
K4 – 2nd grade
3rd – 5th grade
6th – 8th grade
9th – 12th grade
Submissions are due by Friday, May 11, 2018. Remit all entries to the Safe Environment Office, Archdiocese of Milwaukee Cousins Center, 3501 S. Lake Dr., Milwaukee, WI 53207.
