Milwaukee Riverkeeper

Clean Rivers and People Enjoying Them

As a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance, the mission of Milwaukee Riverkeeper is to guard, enhance and advocate for water quality, river animal habitats, and sound land management in the Milwaukee, Menomonee and Kinnickinnic Watershed area.

Urban Ecology Center

The Urban Ecology Center works to foster an ecological understanding through multiple neighborhood community centers that strive to create environments of outdoor science educations for youth, protect, preserve, and use natural areas to keep them safe and accessible, promote community and practice environmentally responsible behaviors.  

Milwaukee Shines

Milwaukee Shines is a program of the City of Milwaukee and the Environmental Collaboration Office (ECO) that is working to expand solar energy use as a means to create cleaner air, reduce energy costs and build a clean energy future through a comprehensive, citywide approach.

Preserve Our Parks

Preserve Our Parks, a nonprofit watchdog group, battles to keep Milwaukee area parks open and green, resists incursions for non-park uses, and fights for funds to properly maintain one of the County’s greatest treasures, its parks system.

The 14th annual Sustainability Summit will be held May 3rd-4th at the MATC Downtown Campus to promote opportunities and investments that highlight energy, water, lifestyle, business and workforce as a source of future economic development in green enterprises throughout Wisconsin, the nation and around the globe.
