Opening additional tabs in your browser is a handy way to visit other websites without needing to open additional browser windows.

These shortcuts should work in any of the major browsers (Internet Explorer, Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.)

To open a new tab, just press these keyboard combinations:
Ctrl + t (Windows)
Cmd + t (Mac)

To cycle through all of your open tabs:
Ctrl + Tab (Windows)
Cmd + Tab (Mac)

Have you ever accidentally closed a tab in your browser that you really wanted to keep open?

I know I have; this handy keyboard shortcut will reopen the last tab you closed.
Ctrl  + Shift + t (Windows)
Cmd  + Shift + t (Mac)
